This is a lesson plan I created for my first practicum placement from September 2022 – December 2022. It was a lesson plan I created for a grade 5 class during Indigenous Heritage month. We read a book called “We Are Water Protectors” and we talked about the importance of protecting the water. It was a great lesson to show how much water they use and have them think “how can we reduce this”

This is a lesson plan I created for my first practicum placement from September 2022 – December 2022. It was a lesson plan I created for a grade 5 class that was learning about mental and personal health. The students learned to connect to the local Indigenous community through the traditional practice of smudging. This is important not only to their learning, but to their success as individuals, and their cultural identity.
